Tour Eiffel and the Marais

Bonjour mes amis!  Well the daily blog didn't happen this week.  Some days were just too boring to write about and our Internet was down for awhile.  We've been working on schoolwork and trying to just settle in a bit.  A few days ago I was able to meet up with a dear, french friend that I met here in college.  We spent an afternoon walking around with our kids and it was pretty adorable seeing them try to communicate.  Playing, running, and card tricks don't require much dialog.  Merci Muriel!!
Yesterday we were walking near the Eiffel Tower on the way to the American Library in Paris when we realized the lines weren't too bad. It was a Monday and was drizzling so we decided it would be our time to climb. Talk about a workout! I'll do anything to justify my wine and cheese habit.
Today we decided to visit the Marais, the Jewish section of town.  There are several competing falafel restaurants there and I remembered them being amazing.  I settled on the one that was rated highest on the Internet and it didn't disappoint.  The kids opted for crepes and a hot dog.
Later we took the 69 bus that takes you from the Marais down rue de Rivoli past the Louvre, tour St. Jacques, Invalides and to the Champs de Mars. It's a great scenic bus route that is covered by our month Navigo metro pass. Tomorrow we are going to the Louvre. Wish me luck.
