Day 2 of the Academie Parc Monceau is complete! So far we have explored our neighborhood, breezed by the Eiffel Tower, Ecole Militaire, the Sorbonne, Jardin Luxembourg, and Arc de Triomphe. We strolled down the Champs Elysees where Conrad ordered his own pain au chocolat at the tres luxe Laduree!! We purchased a few english DVDs from a british bookstore ( to keep our sanity ) and we are about to go out for a Vietnamese dinner. Restaurants don't typically open until 7:00 for dinner so I'm trying to keep the kids from eating snacks right now. The jet lag has been a bit difficult. None of us could fall asleep before 2AM last night and it's very warm in Paris right now so the windows must stay open. I chose an apartment in a residential area but have been surprised to find lots of noise on the street until very late. The kids are learning to navigate the metro very well and are starting to use french phrases with me around the house. They are watching the Disney channel in french so I'll allow some of that each day I suppose. Apologies for the poor writing. Perhaps I'll get better if I do this every day. Until d
