Yesterday, the kids were bugging me about going out to eat. I wasn't sure where to go as the places on my list didn't have any kid-fare or even close to kid-fare. I have already ruined my kids by not making them eat everything as babies and now I'm stuck with picky people who don't like to try new things. Anyway, we decided to go to a cafe right around the corner. We spotted some little ones inside and I knew they had burgers on the menu. I think we got there right before the lunch rush because what started as a mostly empty place, was jammed within a matter of seconds. The servers were very nice and all were scrambling around, doing whatever job needed to be done.
The kids started with chocolat chaud. After adding 3 sugar packets, Conrad announced it was the best he had ever had. My new nickname for him is Sugarboy. Bryn ordered the pasta and ham off the kids' menu and Conrad ordered the burger. No doubt the hot chocolate filled them up but neither one of them really cared for the food. I got the 'Sans Culpabilite' (without guilt), a HUGE salad with roasted peppers, eggplant, grilled chicken and pesto. It was good. Nothing amazing, but quite acceptable. After paying around 52E, I think I'm done with that as a lunch option.
Tomorrow I'm off to cooking class. Stay tuned...
