Can you say homesick?

Can you say homesick?  Not me so much, but my dear children.  They miss their Dad and friends terribly but I'm going to get them through this!  I know all will feel right once Robby gets here. I woke up to rain this morning which was nice because it cooled us off and was something we don't see much of in SoCal.  We decided to stay in for some 'lessons'.  Bryn did some math and reading in her workbook and Conrad researched and presented a report on the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.  Later we went out to buy an umbrella and some bread and macarons.  I didn't even know I liked macarons.  There is a huge difference between these and Trader Joe's.  I love TJ's but frozen is nowhere near.
Once there was a break in the weather we went out to explore another street in our neighborhood.  Conrad just went out for a little alone time on his skateboard.  Hoping all goes well!

So far the best boulangerie in our immediate area.  Macarons to die for!!

Conrad presenting a very interesting report on la Tour Eiffel and the Arc de Triomphe.

Bryn presented some information on Notre Dame.  Will hopefully see that in the next few days.

Another fabulous Parisian door.

Frolicking in the neighborhood.

Unmarked statue and garden in our neighborhood.

A demain....

  4. I just love this, Missy. I had to create my own google blog site to be able to comment. So now I'll try to comment often. Love the pics. I am trying to get Kelly and Joanna to visit Paris with me. We'll see. The kids need a couple of friends. Anyway of putting them in a class to meet some kids their age?
    Keep up the posts.
    Love, Mom

  5. Great idea to audit a class. The school might really embrace the exchange with visiting Americans. And there's the Anerican School in Paris that some diplomatic friends sent their children while stationed there. American consulate could be a source of classes. Agree that friends will help them enjoy more and practice language exchange.
    Keep the adventure coming !
