Well, it feels like summer in Paris today which is not a good thing. The apartment is warm, the metro is warmer, and the kids are cranky. Our planned trip to Notre Dame today was sidetracked by an underground mall we found. I didn't complain because it was so much cooler than street level. After much wandering and a little shopping at FNAC, the kids begged to go home. I gave in, figuring I could explore our neighborhood a little on my own and we do have 3 months here so what's the rush. Here are some of the sites in our arrondissement today....
Laundry drying in my bedroom. The towels are crispy but they are clean!
Some of the beautiful entry doors and buildings on our street.
Of course I found the cheese shop. There were at least 4 cheese ladies in this tiny shop there to personally help you with your selections. And don't you ever suggest you might serve olives with camembert. On no no. NOT allowed.
Deux baguettes s'il vous plait. Oh and pain au chocolat pour le petit déjeuner demain.
Also went to Picard. A grocery that is completely surgeles. (frozen) Picked up some frites for the kids,
ice cream and some petit croque-monsieur pour moi.
My dinner tonight. Don't ask what the kids are eating.
Until tomorrow...
"oh no, no!" that simply will not do.... hilarious
